September 29th Entrepreneurship presenter...

This Wednesday's presenter was a young entrepreneur from nearby Provo, Utah. As a student at BYU, Craig Guincho wanted to create a lifestyle for his new family. As he and his bride looked into various opportunities, they both agreed that there was a major opportunity in HAIRCUTS! "Everyone needs a haircut!" His company began as $7.00 CUTS in the spring of 2008 on a corner at the edge of BYU campus.

In 2009, Craig's company was recognized as 2nd in the Top 25 of Utah's student-founded businesses, and is expecting to be in the high end of INC500 in 2012!  His company now operates at Craig's Cuts. One of the primary lessons Craig has learned is that entrepreneurship is all about building relationships. Craig is a firm believer in mentors, and has built several strong mentor relationship that have been a great help in expanding to his  present five stores ( will have  eight by year's end).

Craig's team has also built a system to insure a standard of operation at every location. They are preparing to expand their base of corporate stores, and establish a franchise opportunity which will begin regionally, growing into other markets. Craig's Cuts website is www.craigscuts.com

I am excited about the line up for this semester at Snow College's Entrepreneurship Seminar series.
